I have begun surfing at age of 10 when my family moved to Rome near the coast in Italy.

The passion for surfing it comes naturally to me, it didn’t take much for the passion to become a talent. After many surfing competitions around Italy, in the summer of 2008 I was introduced to Stand Up Paddling (SUP) during a surfing event in Santa Marinella – Italy and a few months later taking the first wave with a Stand up Paddle board, I had already climbed the rankings in the Italian Championship winning the first national title in 2009 meanwhile competing on European sup tour in both disciplines Wave and Race.

Sponsored by Naish at the beginning, for two consecutive years, currently I’m running the world competing for the leading brand Starboard.

I’m 8 times consecutive Italian Champion unbeatable from 2012 to 2019, European champion Race 2012 and 2013, nominated us one of the top 5 sup riders in the world in.
In 2013 I scored 1st place in the Euro-supa Sup Race Championship tour and finished 2nd at the Race World Cup in Hamburg in 2013, Winning the Sup Paris Crossing in 2013, 3rd Place at the Stand up World Series in Barcelona in 2015.
2nd place in USA at the Gorge paddle Challenge competing with th top 100 riders in the planet. During my missions, I have ridden big and small waves on the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean, including Capo Mannu-Sardinia, Hossegor-France, Mundaka-Spain and Super Tubos-Portugal.

When I’m not busy traveling the world, I like to teach Stand up Paddle Surfing and support the others who would like to approach this sport and give back my training skills at my Sup Surf Academy in Peniche – Portugal named Nika Paddle-Surf Academy.

When I moved to Portugal to improve my training during the off season in a perfect condition with the power of the ocean, I realised that I came here for one reason and I stayed for many others, Portugal has a lot to offer for Stand up Paddling not only amazing waves but also many flat water spots to discover and mostly open ocean conditions while enjoying the amazing culture.
